Saeco liquid descaler is safe for all Saeco machines. It is non-toxic and biodegradable. Mineral deposits in the espresso machine can extend brew time, clog water tubes, reduce brew temperature, and cause the machine to leak.

In order to be most effective in preventing limescale build-up, machines should be decalcified after approximately 300 cycles or every 3 months, or as soon as the prompting light comes on. This 250 ml liquid bottle is more efficient than the decalcifying powder.
